Help them to grow through positive role models

One of the main things our young people will need assistance with is gaining and building on existing life skills. By helping with daily activities such as cooking, cleaning, washing, iron, appointment booking, hygiene and more, our key workers enable individuals to maintain their normal daily routines and enjoy their regular activities.

Below is just part of what our semi-independence training involves for the young people in our care.

  • To provide a safe environment for the service users to learn and enhance their skills and knowledge in preparation for them to live independently.
  • To develop the service user’s awareness about Government systems and community services, so that they can represent themselves as and when necessary.
  • To ensure the service user recognises and develops their social skills to enable them to integrate into communities and society.
  • To enhance/develop the service user’s interpersonal skills so that they can make and sustain friendships.
  • To enable the service user to acquire knowledge and skills in household
    maintenance and money management.
  • To ensure the service user develops the necessary competencies with
regards to employment and further education.
